Dr. María-Isabel Sánchez-Segura is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. María-Isabel holds a PhD in Computer Science (2001), a Master’s degree in Software Engineering (1999) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (1997), from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She is Knowledge Manager Certified by the Knowledge Management Institute since 2013. She is a Senior member of the IEEE computer society since 2014.
She leads the Software Engineering Laboratory at UC3M http://sel.uc3m.es and specifically the research line of Processes and Information Technology for the Systemic Governance of Intelligent Organizations https://www.promiseinnovatech.com/ Currently she is:
Director of the IRSST R&D+I for a smart digital transformation of occupational health and safety, sponsored by the Regional Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (2020-2026).
Director of the PhD Program and Master in Computer Science and Technology at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid until 2021.
Software engineering in general; focusing on processes, methodologies, reuse, management and software configuration management, and usability of interactive systems.
